I want this game.. NOW. Should I suck it up and just go buy a retail copy?

I want to play, and I'm willing to wait/spam to login. I can't get a digital copy right now, should I just suck it up and buy a physical copy?
If I do that, will I even be able to make a character and play?
UPDATE: you cannot buy a physical copy of the PC or ps3 versions of the game. They have halted all sales until further notice.
