Hey, just got the complete edition with Christmas money and have everything set up. Haven't made a character yet, just making sure settings and such are all right.

Thought I'd ask if there are any good tips for beginners. I've played a good chunk of FF games, mainly 10 and on. (Minus the MMOs) in case that reference is worthwhile.

Above any general tips, what are some recommended starting classes? I'm not against multiplayer but have a heavy penchant/tendency for playing solo, so I suspect that's how I'll be spending the majority of my time. Which is why even though I kind of want to go with a healer like white mage, I don't know how viable that would be for soloing things.
