I've been playing FFXI for a while. Still on my account on and off from the old days. I'm on Asura (Technically from Pandemonium before the big Server Merge back in the day) and I still have old linkshells that are active once in a blue moon. On top of that I've asked a few people interested in trying the game to join me on Asura and they have, but the issues with the server just keep getting worse, especially for me trying to do endgame content like farming Dyna currency or even just some NM drops.

Is it worth it to change? Are things really that much better on other servers? Is it worth it for me to ask other friends to also pay to change servers for a better experience? Is it worth leaving behind the ability to maybe play with old friends when they come back time to time?
