What's default audio behavior if nothing is specified?

Hi there, I just encoded a video with the following command:
ffmpeg -i input.wmv -c:v libx264 -preset slow -crf 21 -vf format=yuv420p output.mp4
It took around 16 hours so I'm definitely not encoding it again. But then I realized I only focused on video and forgot about specifying what to do with the audio, which didn't need to be converted. My question is, what happened to the audio in this case? Was it reencoded or copied?
