I’ve been told a certain spoiler is the story ruined?

So I’ve just been told recently that aerith dies via TikTok some body but the clip of it on their video, besides this I have no clue what else happens in the story besides stuff the trailer shows us, and I think I’ve been told Sephiroth destroys the universe or something idk but anyways does this ruin the story for me or is it just one sorta small thing?
