So, MMO veteran, played Vanilla WoW up to WoTLK been casually playing FF14 for about 3-4 years.. lvl 75 WHM lvl 59 NIN.
I'm starting to see just how bad some of these players are now, as the dutys start to ramp up in difficult (normal Titania ive done like 12 times before a group finally got it with 40% dmg buff lol)
Now, I've had 3 WHMs in my groups who never once casted Divine Benison. I tried a friendly whisper saying hey :) just a little tip, Divine Benison is instant and can really make your life easier try it out!" and one listened (he didnt even know he had the ability) the other just told me to mind my business play my game.
Maybe Square could add some in-game tips if it notices a lvl 70 NEVER using one of their core abilities, or not even having it on hotbar.. just like a little tutorial message "Hey, you're not using Divine Benison, or Afflatus Rapture, etc. Heres what it does and how it can help you!" I mean i had to rez this guy THREE times during the fight... Hell had he even just been using Divine Benison on HIMSELF it would have helped the entire group.
Just trying to think of ways to make Duty Finder a little bit better and to help people who are new to the genre figure out how to play... I dunno.. Im not a fan of "hand holding" and i know the ability pops up on your screen when you level up and get it, but damn.... Not using one of our best abilities... ever?
Having good groups makes the game more fun for everyone and I cant imagine this being OVERLY difficult to implement.. Hopefully someone on the community team sees this and can mention it to the devs.. Im really just trying to be constructive and helpful and not complain.. Like I said i play very casually but I am a very competent player I do my research I watch my youtube video before every new Duty and I rarely have to use any NON-GCD heals so I can pump dmg real hard..
