Looking for someone more knowledgable than I tell me to tell me if there's something wrong with this picture, or if this is perfectly normal:
There are probably 15-20 or more ST-62 Japanese Strats ranging from older MIJ models to CIJ models to newer MIJ models all from one seller in Yotsuya Japan.
What's a little off is that the Fiesta Red one that I was looking at was originally listed as a "ST-62 Jazz Stratocaster," and while many of them are listed with proper specs in the titles, there are some that say things like "ST-62 Bass Guitar," and other oddities like that.
All of the lister's pictures are Strats laid out in the same position, so it's clearly the same seller - body side closest and neck laid out at a 45 degree angle up and to the left.
This seller has a fiesta red CIJ ST-62 Strat for $757, and I just purchased a fiesta red LE Player strat with fat 50's pickups, and a roasted maple neck for the same price. My guess is that if this is actually what it's listed as, this would be the better purchase.
I've messaged him hoping to start a dialogue, but in the meantime, I figured someone here is good at spotting the genuine article. Listed below are just the listings on the first page (ther eare literally more than 20):
