Hi friends,
Please excuse my blatant shilling, but /r/againstmensrights has started a book club and I'm hoping some of ya'll might be interested in taking part.
For August, we'll be reading Sylvia Federici’s Caliban and the Witch
If you want to participate, subscribe to /r/AMRbookclub
To download the .pdf: https://libcom.org/files/Caliban and the Witch.pdf
To purchase the book: http://www.akpress.org/calibanandthewitch.html
We’ll be breaking the reading into 4 weekly parts, as follows:
- Aug 1-7 -- Preface, Introduction, “All the World Needs a Jolt” (pp. 1-60)
- Aug 8-14 -- “The Accumulation of Labor and the Degradation of Women” (pp. 61-132)
- Aug 15-21 -- “The Great Caliban” and “The Great Witch Hunt in Europe” (pp. 133-218)
- Aug 22-31 -- “Colonization and Christianization” (219-243) plus watch World of Witchcraft (53 min)
Please feel free to participate as much or as little as you are willing or able. I’ll be posting some relevant videos to /r/AMRbookclub where Federici discusses the book’s ideas so you can join in that way too.
with witchy love,
