I'm 19, and I live in Jerusalem with my dad. Just not long ago I bought my first skirt from Shein. I had a phase in which I thought I was trans but I won't get into it, I just wanted to be different and do what most boys don't do. But my dad didn't like it when he first saw me wearing it. He says he worries people will beat me up because in Jerusalem, there are religious extremists who aren't accepting of men wearing "women's clothing." When I argued with him about it, he was sitting down with his back facing me, my dad couldn't even look at me... He says he's worried, but it looks like he has a personal problem with me wearing a skirt. I love my dad, but we are having a tough time recently because we disagree about what's happening in Gaza. I have a social worker, and we're in the process of finding me my own apartment since I'm diagnosed with Autism, but the process takes too much time. I want to live alone so bad.
