Personality-wise, I'm pretty laid back and have relatively high confidence in many areas of my life. I would also say I am patient and empathetic which comes from my love for learning about other people's perspectives. I especially enjoy engaging in deep discussions about various perspectives using a philosophical lens. If having a thoughtful conversation analyzing a topic over dinner sounds like fun to you, then you're my type of person.

For work, I'm a risk analyst using my degree in probability theory. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and tend to read more non-fiction books (philosophy, history, economics, etc.) However, I do partake in the guilty pleasure of reading trashy web novels as well. I also enjoy dabbling in an assortment of other random interests including: experimenting with cooking, hiking, 3D art in blender, playing tabletop/video games, and piano.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for a lifelong monogamous partner who is first and foremost a supportive friend that I connect well with. I am envisioning a loving relationship where we support each other, but you just happen to be dominant and I just happen to be submissive.

Also, I would prefer someone who - enjoys having long-form conversations - has hobbies you're passionate about - is able to resolve conflicts in an emotionally mature way - is assertive and willing to take the lead - likes to make your partner feel pursued and desired

Physically, I need to be attracted to you, but my range is pretty wide. A good match on intellectual and emotional wavelength is far more important to me and contributes significantly to attraction. Seeing the sparkle in your eyes when you talk about something you love would make me swoon.

Finally, I want a friendship where we can have serious conversations, have fun together, or just relax together. Anything from venting to each other to learning to make a DIY craft together. Or maybe we could simply cook and eat dinner together on a cold winter evening, make two steaming hot cups of tea, and then curl up on the sofa with a blanket and read a novel together. Location and Plans

I'm currently living in Virginia, but I am open to relocating within the US for the right person. My work is flexible enough to be mostly remote. However, we would need to be quite serious by that point and have a solid plan for cohabitation, housing, your work, etc.

My preference is to start online and get to know each other. Then, we can start to travel to each other occasionally for a period of time. When we become committed, we can decide on more permanent relocation.

Kinks

I am more inclined toward the role reversal and power exchange side.
