Even as I write these questions - Are you Sick and tired of men's bullshit? Tired of being ghosted, of men talking to 4 other girls, of women's opinions being dismissed by men solely because of their gender, of men treating women as nothing more than objects, they seem redundant and silly to even be spoken because I've observed this everywhere I've gone for my entire life. Even if I can recognize how much of a struggle it is to be a woman, I don't have the lived experience of what this is truly like. In history, equality has often been brought about by shining a light upon inequality.
Inequality, Injustice; concepts like these exist in the shadows because they make people uncomfortable, change is uncomfortable, especially for men who have benefitted from this dynamic for so long. The best way to exact change is to shine a light upon the shadow, pull down the veil to let everyone see.
I've always seen having an open mind and truly being willing to understand a part of how I interact with the world. Many of you are probably familiar with the art performance "Rhythm 0" by legendary artist Marina Abramović. Drawing inspiration from her. I'm offering myself as a canvas upon which I want someone who feels they have something to express against gender inequality, an opportunity to create art.
Treat the entire thing as performance art, a protest against the patriarchy.
Follow your emotions, film the entire thing, express yourself, write on me with marker, force conformity to traditionally feminine roles, create your own social commentary however that may come to be, draw comparisons to my inability to speak and lack of voice/representation in power, make suggestive comments, imbibe the male gaze, or perhaps invert the entirety of what I've said and illustrate your own approach on how much healthier and harmonious things could be. Many ancient cultures used to worship the feminine, they had maternal leadership, perhaps this is the story you wish to tell.
This is art, provided I can walk away from this without permanent harm, the only limit is your imagination.
You are the artist, I am the canvas, your lived experience as a woman is the brush and your frustration is your painting. Create your masterpiece, be it an illustration of your experience, or your visions for a better world.
Serious inquiries only.
