***Let’s start with what I’m not looking for, to weed out those who aren’t a match (I promise, the rest of this post is positive!). I am not looking to be someone’s “slut”, I’m not looking to be humiliated, used, or controlled. I’m not a cuck. I’m not someone who wants to be emasculated or treated like a plaything. I am not looking for a long distance relationship, so locals only please (I’m in central NC).

With all of that out of the way, I’d like to tell you about the person I am, and the things I’m hoping to find out of a partner. Above all else, I’m looking for a partner in all facets of a relationship. I am established in my life, a loving parent, and I don’t need a relationship to be happy and whole as a person. That doesn’t mean that I don’t crave one. I absolutely do, I simply have the patience to wait on the right person to enter my life.

Physically, I’m 44 years old, have a bit of a dad bod, a beard, and a good bit of gray hair mixed with the natural brown. I prefer hoodies over button downs, but I do clean up nicely.

So who am I? I’m a guy who has a good job and family that is both supportive and loving. I’m divorced and have been so for about 8 years now, so the baggage from that has been processed through time and therapy for many years now. I’m a whole person and hoping to find the same. I have a passion for music and would love to one day turn my passion of collecting music into a business. For now, I’m a corporate drone who works for stability and to provide a good life for my daughter and I. I don’t tend to talk about or dwell on my job, but rather it’s just the thing I do during the day.

I’m naturally a bit of a homebody who loves a good night at home watching a movie on the couch. Cuddling and watching a movie with some freshly popped popcorn is a perfect date night for me over getting dressed up and dancing in a club. I do love going out to places that are fun in nature. Let’s play putt putt, go bowling, or search for a roadside attraction. A short road trip to a weird local festival brings me joy. I prefer the mountains over the beach, the cold over the heat, and meeting a new animal friend over randomly striking up a conversation with strangers.

I’m refraining from talking too much about my child in the interest of privacy, but she is the most important part of who I am. She will always come first and that is a priority that I take seriously. With that said, I have her about half of the time, which leaves a lot of time to myself and to make time for a special person.

As for what I’m looking for in a partner, it’s really quite simple. I want to be happy. I want things to feel easy and natural. I want someone who I can talk through problems with and have good communication that allows for honesty and love within that communication. I’m not looking for a specific body type, hair color, types of hobbies, or anything of that type. We are all unique and that’s what makes us who we are. I want someone who I can learn about, and take joy in discovering the things that they love. My love languages are physical touch and quality time and both of those things are important to me. Words hold a lot of power, so I also want someone who use their words to lift up, rather than tear down.

As you’ve noticed, I’ve talked very little about kink in this post. That’s because while I do prefer a more Dominant partner, the specifics of that aspect of the relationship are fairly fluid. I seek monogamy and want to date with purpose rather than momentary fun. To me, gentle domination behind closed doors is ideal. I want someone who is confident and knows what they want in the bedroom. I like to please, and I like someone who is willing to take control by being direct in what they want. Things like eye contact, guidance, exploration with the mutual kinks we discover about one another, and in general just an open mind and openness when it comes to each other.
