Quick TL;DR

I’m a generally shy and nerdy guy. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being around strong and driven women all my life and therefore I truly admire them. I’m looking for a caring type partner who is invested in me as a person overall outside of any sort of sexual dynamic that may form. While that may be an end goal, I’m always happy to meet new people and make friends along the way, so feel free to just say hi if that’s what you would like!

I’ve been incredibly shy for essentially as long as I can remember. There are ways to get me to open up and be really expressive, but it requires particular outlets or a general comfort. I think this shyness is a contributing factor as to why I admire and adore strong women and confident women so much. I’ve been around women like this all my life, whether it be friends or family, and I find them all to be incredibly kind and admirable. Just the general idea of someone that can make me feel safe is just a really warm thought to me. Not only that, but being able to be there for them, encourage, build them up, and console them when they need it. It’s a bit of a romanticized thought, I guess, but it’s something that I find comfort in. Something to dream for the future.

I know that any sort of relationship is more complicated than just that, both romantic and platonic, and communication is important. With how everyone might be as individuals, I understand that we might all be looking for something different, but hopefully as they intersect, we can find ways to be comfortable and happy together in what relationships may form.

I’ve fallen into many nerdy hobbies as I’ve grown up. In my spare time, I like to play video games, board games, card games. These can range from a variety of titles in competitive spaces and casual games to enjoy either on my own or with friends. Whether it’s looking to solve a particular problem, experience a quality story, or just have some simple, cool fun, I’ve been playing games for many, many years. Beyond that, I have my favorite shows and movies; among which are Futurama, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Brooklyn 99 for shows and The Grand Budapest Hotel, Good Will Hunting, Donnie Darko, The Wind Rises for movies.

Something that I’ve been developing into the last few years is a love of cooking and baking, especially the latter. There’s rarely a day where I don’t have a batch of homemade cookies around to snack on. I’ve even been on a journey to bake croissants, which has been both rewarding and delicious!

I’m also a musician. I play the violin. Music is very important to me and is one of the things that I could ramble on and on about if you let me. I think that without music (and art as a whole), life would simply be dull and gray.

Common interests are always welcome, but not at all necessary. I love to listen to people go on about what they love and what they're passionate about. As well as this, we can also find things we have in common should you decide to send me a message or chat invite (chat works better for me, but I have other places to talk as well. Discord too, but I'm not always comfortable sharing that right away.).

The way I like to communicate or text with people online is generally a more conversational, back and forth texting interaction. I can do long texts and responses if that works for you, but I can sometimes find that more mentally taxing to do. I often get quite excited to see text message notifications, so please don’t feel deterred! I know that I can be a bit clingy or needy sometimes, and I understand that some people in this space really like that, but it’s something that I’ve been working on. I will often send a “how was your day?” or “hope you had a good day” type text with people that I have interest in as sort of an outlet for that. I’m also happy to get on calls, video or voice, when our comfort is ready, so please don’t be afraid to ask or offer if you would like them. For a long distance relationship, communication can be hard, so being on the same page is important.

I’m about 5’7” and caucasian. I have brown, curly hair that I don’t get much longer than a few inches before I get a trim. I wear round-framed glasses that sit in front of hazel eyes (not quite just green and not quite just brown). I have a pretty average body type, I think, but still pretty much a dad bod. I’ve been told I have a soft voice as well. If we decide to pursue anything beyond friendship, physical attraction is important to me so we can exchange photos if and when we feel comfortable.

As for what I’m looking for… I’m not entirely sure. I have preferences based on personality, looks, etc., but it’s generally wide open for me. At the very least, I’m hesitant to pursue a romantic relationship if we are too far or if you are below the age of 24 and over the age of 40. I think an easy way to describe it is that I’m looking for my princess charming, but that’s still pretty vague. I’m looking for someone who can be my big spoon. I’m perfectly fine with just being friends, but if something further develops, that’d be pretty rad too.

As far as kinks go, if you found this, then we probably have some in common. It’s probably not that hard to figure some out from my previous posts. We can talk about that privately if you would like, but I’m pretty open on answering questions if you ask them, as well as stating if I’m not comfortable doing so. This is already pretty long, but it would mean a lot to me.
