I would like to preface this post by saying that this sub has been amazing to be a part of. Most people have been so kind and respectful. But something potentially nefarious has come to my attention.
I made a post a few weeks ago and got pretty flooded with responses. In fact, I’m still in the process of responding to some so if that’s you, I apologize!
Anyway, as I was getting to know some of the first people I messaged back, one of them started sharing travel stories. Awesome, right? They eventually share a google doc photos link and I didn’t click it at first though it did seem legit. We chatted some more and decided to switch platforms. They of course, seemed completely normal and chill.
We chatted a bit more on the other platform and I ended up clicking the google link shared on Reddit. Nothing seemed unusual.
Next thing I know my messages are being ignored for over a week. Weird timing, no? If I’ve been ghosted for whatever reason, that’s completely fine, it happens to all of us. No hard feelings
But if I’ve made a mistake and clicked on a nefarious link from someone with ill intentions, lurking in this sacred space…. I’d like to let others know! (Yes, I know it was stupid to click it, won’t happen again lol)
