I’m Nate, a 25-year-old male Physics PhD Candidate in the D(M)V area. If you were to ask someone I knew about my personality, I imagine they would say something along the lines of “he’s a strangely quiet and aloof guy”. If you then asked me why I’m like that, I’d probably say something along the lines of “I just don’t have much to say”. But on the inside, I’m a highly neurodivergent and passive people-pleaser.

Normally, I struggle socially because I kind of just don’t have the instinct to share my thoughts or seek others’ attention that most people have. Thus, I’m rarely able to form connections/relationships (basically a virgin) unless someone else happens to notice and take an interest in me. I don’t mean to imply that I’d be bad in a relationship, it’s just that my personality makes it incredibly difficult to get myself into one while acting naturally.
