With feedback from the community and discussions with the mods, we feel moving to a verified only model for posting to this subreddit is the way to go. We are overwhelmed with spam, bots and rule breakers. No matter what we put in place to remove these posts, the accounts just get smarter at getting around the rules and no doubt legit posters get removed too if we make the rules too strict.

So from 1st May, you will now to be verified.

How do I get verified?

We will be working out the process to get verified by this mod team and will let you know when this is in place. For now though, if you are verified on another subreddit, please message the mod team with which subreddit you are verified and we will consider whether this is good enough to be verified for us. You can get verified this way right away if we're happy.

Otherwise give us a couple of weeks and watch out for a post describing our verification process. This post is largely to inform you all in plenty of time the change is coming.
