I (29F) am going through a really rough breakup, and I've been feeling the need to take myself on a little trip to do some healing.

I'm looking for a small or mid-sized town or even a smaller city with warm, friendly people and beautiful nature where I can hang out, heal, and work remotely for a week or two. I'm located in the Midwest, and it'd be great to find something within a few hours' drive, but that's not a necessity. Extra points if there's a decent dating scene where I can start trying to put myself back out there again.

This is gonna sound silly, but I'm picturing the kind of place where a Gilmore Girl or the protagonist of a Hallmark movie would go after a breakup. And maybe that doesn't exist in reality, but I'd like to get as close as I can. Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions!

Bonus question: I'm also hoping to do some international solo traveling toward the end of the year or next spring. If anyone has any suggestions for countries for that trip, I'd also love to hear those!
