Travel Anxiety
Post Body

Hi there!

I'm 19(F). I've always wanted to solo travel, and recently I've become sick of trying to convince my friends to go anywhere, so I want to take a start.

I've looked at Malaga for 3 days and 2 nights. I've never really been to the city of Malaga specifically, but I've been in nearby towns and I know the area/airport and I've found cheap flights. It's also not that far away from where I live (3 hour flight).

However, I can't get over my fear. I have dyspraxia so I'm extremely clumsy and forgetful, and I'm scared I'll get lost in the airport, or miss my flight, or lose my passport. Not withstanding the usual fears that come with being a woman by herself. I have a few friends who do it, but nobody in my close, pretty anxious extended family has or does.

Anyone in similar circumstances or who has been? Do you have any strategies to manage yourself while travelling if you too are forgetful or prone to losing things? How to deal with fear of even booking the trip and how you got over it? Especially interested in answers from fellow neurodivergent/anxious women.

Thanks so much in advance.

I just got back from my first solo trip to Thailand. I was super nervous but my god it was the best 30 days of my life. I have become so much more confident now.
