I'm going to an all day outdoor concert at the end of August - what's a sensible outfit to wear to such an event?

The concert is going to be at least 8 hours (12 bands worth of songs ) .it's at a park with no seating provided, so I'll likely e in a beach chair or on a blanket or standing up and dancing around like a loon. Its probably going to be fairly hot, and. I dont have nice enough legs to feel comfortable in shorts. I'm thinking a maxi dress would be a good option, since it's long and breathes well. Any suggestions?
