As a recent southern california transplant, it's freezing outside and will probably snow right before my meeting. I have to take public transit and my snow boots are huge so I might be able to bring my backpack, but I don't know if the looks sloppy.

My options now are blue or cream slacks (they show my ankle unfortunately for this weather) with a silk blouse (navy or purple) and black blazer. I can either wear my snow boots (which are furry) or knee high black boots (which a not nearly as warm and have a side zipper that sometimes let's in water). I also have little black heels, but I'm not sure where I would store the boots during the meeting if I change.

What do you cold weather buffs think I should do?
