I adopted my male, neutered ,2 yr old American bobtail a little over a week ago. He's done really well! The only thing I can't figure out how to deal with is this odd aggression he gets when kneading on something fuzzy. Fuzzy blanket or pillow. He'll get all 4 feet kneading, back arched. Sometimes it's just two feet going(varies between front and back feet). Sometimes his face is in the fuzz Sometimes not. Everytime he gets to kneading like this, if I move my hand for any reason, his ears go back, and he lunges to bite my hand. Even if I'm moving my hand away from him. Aside from keeping the fuzzy things away from him, what can I do to stop this lunging?
