Conversations seem to fizzle out quickly

I (M55) get a fair number of matches with females on Feeld. I tend to begin them quite politely and general just as I would on any other dating app but they fizzle out quickly.
Am I not being aggressive enough ?
Do women on Feeld not want an agreeable conversation? Is the expectation to talk sexually pretty much straight away ?
Asking because elsewhere I have no difficulty with maintaining conversations going.
