Ladies respond to my ping then crickets?

This is the third time in two weeks, I (M48) seeking f40-50sish send a ping with a detailed intro message, they like me and then nothing. I reach out with a second message- along the lines of "hi thanks for the like" and then engage them with a question or something " and then... Nothing again. Then next time I look they've left the convo. At least I know the pings are getting through.
