Msg with ping disappeared?

For the last few weeks I've had the chance to send a msg with a ping, today that option disappeared?
I liked it as a way to stand out as real and interested and not just throwing darts.
Anyone else experiencing the same thing? NYC/USA area.
I wish there was any rhyme or reason to this app!
