Because I care. Because I work the field. Because I would not be able to disclose anything about my past work experience if I would send my CV to you. Because you have disregarded my numerous complaints and remarks for 10 years while I was one of the first supporter of your app in my country when there was nobody there but I was already paying you a majestic subscription to your company. Because I know some of your team are on Reddit too. Because I was there on your live Q&A at the beginning of Covid. Because I was one of the instigators of the main groups on telegram (which was in the transcript of the chat)

Here is my advices. 1/ you need better UX officers (if it’s not the case). People who actually care and who think the problems. People who are n 1 from the dev team. So people whom dev are depending from. And preferably you need 3 of them who would brainstorm and think first by then 3 alone before discussing with the dev team and with management.

2/ those ux officers can’t be from the management team they need to be independent and have also a big interest into security and cybersecurity in general. And have superior general knowledge on how the world works which is nearly always not the case of your average coder(including those on your team). And they do not need to be expert coders.

3/ you need to open your code or part of it. Because cybersecurity is everything nowadays. It’s not if you are going to be breached but when and how much damage can be done by it.

4/ before to release any updates those have to be validated by the ux officers and a test panel.

Tinder took 15 years before to be compliant by encrypting their communications with basic SSL(we are not talking about crazy stuff here). Don’t repeat the same stupid mistakes other have made before you because you are too proud and want to be put on a piédestal.
