Just came here to say that I (Cis Man, 51) live in Los Angeles, my age and distance search is wide enough (35-53 and 30 miles) and I have 3 people in my feed and I literally can't swipe anymore. Two of the women have been in my feed for a bit. It's basically been like this more or less for weeks. I'll get 4 or 5 new people (maybe) a day, but most of the women are 5,000 miles away or seem like bots. Even just after the "upgrade" it ran pretty normally, but this just can't be right. It's Los Angeles! So frustrating.
I've been wondering if deleting my profile and making a brand new one might fix the issue, cause I feel like it's an app issue and hopefully not JUST a "I'm a 51 cis man" issue.
Any insights out there?
That sounds like you're saying I'm choosing an either/or and that's far from the truth and ageist. If a woman chooses to date younger men, that's okay and empowering then, I guess... 🤷♂️
And this was just from logging out and then logging back in? That's so weird.

The best part (worst?) of your comment is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the OP. I wasn't complaining that I wasn't getting likes or matches, but that the app was barely showing any profiles at all which has nothing to do with my preferences. I've dated women older and younger than myself, so before you jump to conclusions about and gatekeep my preferences, maybe you should read the posts being written instead of trying to shame me.
Since you have no idea about the reasons behind my preferences, I'd say maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge them and concern yourself with your own as to why you felt the need to try and gatekeep. I prefer to let adults decide for themselves who they do/don't want to date/have fun with.
My beef is with the app and how it drip feeds profiles, not the dating pool itself.
