Dismissed profiles constantly repeating

I've just made an account about a week ago,and I'm having a bit of an issue- No matter how many times I hit the negative sign to dismiss the profiles,I am constantly being shown the same ones when I open the app? And it's not that I've run out of profiles near me,bc once I sort through the 15 of repeats,it gives me new profiles to look at,only to start all over if i exit the app and come back. Is this common??
