Who is scamming y'all? Are scammers really that pervasive?
Post Body

Caveat that I am a lesbian in my 30s practicing fairly ktp polyamory and only really swiping on other politically left queer women for 1:1 connections — not a male&female married couple where the guy is straight and the woman is bisexual/bicurious/bicomfortable/heteroflexible/etc and they're looking for something in extremely high demand and very low supply (i.e. a "unicorn" bisexual woman who is willing to have sex with both of them at the same time) BUT.

I see SO many posts about people being scammed, asked for gift cards, threatened/extorted, etc on Feeld and I'm curious about what's happening there. Not that Feeld is the greatest, most functional app in existence lol, especially after the update, but over the years I've been on it I've had three connections that have led to longer term relationships and one that was a really wholesome fun one time situation, and the other people I've chatted with but never met up with seemed perfectly nice too. I've never even had an interaction that was weird to the point where I worried if I was talking to a scammer.

If you've been scammed or someone tried to scam you but you caught it, what kind of person/connection were you INTENDING to look for? I'm wondering if there are more scammers pretending to be bisexual women unicorns or couples rather than like, scammers pretending to be other kinds of people. And I'm wondering if that's specifically because as I mentioned unicorns/thirds are in such high demand with much lower supply, so scammers know that couples looking for that might be eager and overlook some of the red flags.
