Since the update, I’ve become much more selective and strategic about how I use my pings.
I’m only really pinging people when - after reading their profile - they obviously appear to be a real person. Lots of bots on the site. And even the bots are getting good at pretending to be real people. There are profiles with Majestic who ask to take the convo to Telegram or IG and then spam with links to cam sites. Incredible.
Anyone who says “Ping me if you want my attention!” doesn’t get a ping. Obviously they are overloaded with messages & picky, why get lost in the crowd? I don’t think a Ping will resolve that issue.
I’m slightly more likely to Ping you if you’re a couple. Their profiles actually seem more likely to be real and, frankly, I really enjoy scenes with couples.
Have you noticed any trends when sending Pings? Any criteria that makes someone Ping-worthy?
Also, free folks, just get a Majestic membership even if only for a month. You’ll clear your stack and then be able to connect with everyone. That might actually be the ideal way to interact with the app - be free for a couple months, then get Majestic to clear out & connect with people and continue the conversation after your Majestic ends.
