Accidental disconnect, any way to reconnect?

I was connected to two guys that used the letter J on their profiles, no other initials, similar main profile photos. For the sake of clarity I’ll refer to them as J1 and J2.

J1: connected to both me and my wife. Had separate chats going with each of us. Got really creepy with her. We both decided to disconnect.

J2: only connected to me. Seemed really cool, super nice guy. He’s the one I mistakenly disconnected from (whoops!). My wife either hasn’t seen his profile or it got “minused” early on.

Is there a way to reconnect with J2? Or is he just gone? I feel bad for the guy, he probably got blindsided by it because we were getting along well.
