Using the twitch extension, cant load modpacks?

I just reinstalled minecraft on the same computer after uninstalling about 3 months ago.
I loaded up the twitch extension, downloaded a modpack, and after clicking play, it does nothing. Doesnt launch anything, it just sits there.
I've tried other modpacks as well but it doesn't work.
Any advice?
