So I have been flying more frequently for work and so far have been doing well. About 12 flights for the year 6 in the last 2 weeks.
But today on my way home from a literal up and down (stl to ord) I got on the plane and it was PACKED and a small plane, and I turned around and left. Now the drive isn’t bad, but the fact that I couldn’t get on a plane for 45 min. Was a huge disappointment. I have been doing therapy and following instructions and tips to a T, but for some reason I just couldn’t get myself to fully board this plane.
Claustrophobia is my number one fear, along with having a panic attack in public or tight spaces.
Not sure if I need to look for a new job now or keep pushing. But a decision needs to be made soon.
