Question on used tires

Hey everyone, merry Christmas!
I bought a pair of used ground control tires that had previously been set up tubeless and the inside of the tires is coated with sealant. If I were to run these tires tubeless will I have to clean all the old sealant off of these to get a proper seal, or can I just run them as-is and add new sealant?
