Maybe this is a loaded question, but is aluminum the superior frame material for fatbikes?

My reason being, since fat bikes make great winter commuters, steel can rust more easily than Al, and carbon could crack. Granted, Al can dent. What do you think is the best frame building material for fat bikes and why? BTW I have a ICT
