For whatever reason, we didn't design our home to include a home gym, which I am regretting now. And adding on isn't possible, unfortunately. I really want to have my own space to work out. Plus, where I live, the gyms aren't all that great. I am considering buying another home or small commercial space to make it my own private health club (sauna, shower, etc.) plus a small office away from home (if there's room). I've been looking at real estate, but haven't found anything that is a good fit. Even my real estate agent doesn't really understand this.
Has anyone done this or similar? Curious to hear stories.
I recently saw a unique use of a guest house where the first floor was used as an extra garage space and the second was used as a gym/playroom/sauna area. I thought it was really cool. Not sure of the layout of your current place but if there is enough space have you thought of building a guest house for this purpose?
