How to get a job back I quit months ago?

In January I quit a pizza job I worked at for 5 months because I though I would make more money serving. I put in a 2 weeks notice. The jobs I have had since then have been the worst and I am sorry I left my pizza job. The pizza job is hiring for insiders again now. How should I convince the manager to hire me back?I'm going there tomorrow morning to talk to him. Is this a good idea?

Btw, I called the hiring manager the other morning and he said he will think about it and make a decision when he is done interviewing his many applicants.
