Like many others, really glad this subreddit exists, I just found it. I remember being around eight or nine when it first happened and trying to explain to my parents what I was feeling and them looking at me like I was nuts.
I am not a neurologist or head and neck specialist so by way of a completely unscientific poll: does anyone else who experiences this also get or used to get motion sickness (carsick)? I used to get carsick all the time as a kid and rarely these days; same with my fast feeling. Wondering, since motion sickness is a bit of a mystery, too, if there was some connection given they're both about real versus perceived motion and both could be related to inner ear mechanics. Just a thought.
