Luxans bother me
Post Body

Okay, so I started watching the show on netflix a little bit ago, right now I'm about 3/4ths of the ways through season 2. I really love it, it's kind of cheesy sci-fi but I like cheesy sci-fi so it's cool.

Just thinking about how Luxans work kinda bothers me though. The poisonous blood is just the dumbest thing ever from any standpoint I an think of.

Imagine you're a teenage male Luxan getting ready for battle training or school or whatever it is they do. As you're shaving in the morning you cut yourself. Oh well, you better call and tell them you're going to be late, because now you have to punch yourself in the face for an arn or you die.

Not to mention their main weapon is a sword gun which forces you to rest it on your hand so that your hand is always less than an inch from the blade. It's amazing they don't cut themselves when they shoot. And they're a warrior race! You'd think their race would shy away from warfare, since every minor wound they take requires them to either risk death or take up ten times the effort to perform first aid on.

It also just makes me twitch just because whenever D'argo gets hurt (which is a lot) they aren't stimulating the wound most times. I assume they're doing it offscreen but it still kinda feels like they're just hand-waving it away because it's inconvenient.
