Need some help with contracts in multiplayer.

So me and a friend both have a farm on the map we are on. I am able to take a complete contracts with no issues. However my friend can take contracts but everytime he delivers to complete the contract his contract shows failed. We do have it set that we have contractor status for each other's farms, could this be the issue or is it more likely something else?
