I have no idea if this is widely known, but I did search here first. I got an update a few minutes ago for XBOX One (I’m in Preview), and I chose to stay offline until I could find a safe place to save and unload my loot. 2-3 minutes later, I got kicked from the game with a message saying the game requires a connection to the internet. I wouldn’t be too upset if this was advertised (which I don’t know, I was buying the game, so I didn’t pay much attention to anything), or if it was for multiplayer/co-op, but if I am playing a closed, single player game, a persistent internet connection should not be necessary.
