Just got supplies to craft an Optimism Shovel for my brother for Christmas 😎

Snagged the shovel from TSC, and spray paint from Walmart. Should be a fun project. Plan on taping off a perfect circle and taping the eyes and mouth off for the black paint later. Then spray painting the yellow on the head. Thought about taking some newspaper and dabbing a few spots to make it look more weathered. Any thoughts or tips?
