So I've been working on a story outline for just over a month now, and I'm having a bit of trouble with the direction of the story. I actually have two story ideas and I am in the process of writing down the second one now. Though I seem to have run into a slight problem, I don't really know how to continue the story now. The basic premise of the story is.
There are two races of gods, the Aesir and the Vanir. The Aesir gods rule in Valhalla after defeating the Vanir in a war.
Now a Vanir named Myrkan is trying to seize controll over Valhalla and to do that he makes it possible for a the dragon Gravvitner to be released on Midgard. This is what the first book of three will be about, my MC will accidentally free the dragon and let him loose on the world. Gravvitners goal will be to sow chaos and start wars on Midgard to distract the Aesir gods for his master.
This story is what my outlines refer to right now.
Outline 1 just needs a resolution and a setup for the next book. Allthough I would be grateful for more C&C on this aswell.
Outline 2 however is where I have problems. I want the main villain, in this case the dragon Gravvitner, to decieve and try to corrupt my MC, and then have the priestess Ari catch and make the MC realize what is actually happening.
