I don’t mean the writing itself. I’m an illustrator for fun, and welll before I plan on publishing my book, I was going to try and gain more of a following in social media as an artist. My in-universe world is full of monsters, locations, landscapes, and more that I love. One of my favorites is a little cafe that my partner and I plan on opening up together someday, but I have so many drawings and illustrations of it I would love to share. And so many monsters from cute to rough and rugged. I want my universe to feel like an actual world with actual people and actual places.
I want to post my art and some animations and such to get peoples attention before I just slap a book down wand pray for the best. I love books because they paint images in your brain. And I want that for my book! But I just have so many ideas and designs and even scrapped things I would love to show people who actually care.
My biggest concern is that publishers won’t be fond of that. I know the process of publishing dan be pretty strict and I want to do things right for my debut novel. The marketing especially I know can be very serious. I’m not posting images to market a book though, just to show people the tiny world I made in my head. Does anyone think it would be a dumb decision?
