Hi! Iām new here but a long time lover of the fantasy romance genre!! I know my title may be a little confusing, so Iāll try to explain better: Iām looking for novels/longer works that are spicy (like ACTUALLY spicy, beyond just a āfade to blackā¦ā moment) but are also beautifully written, almost in the style of a classic. Imagine like Pride and Prejudice or Lord of the Rings, but with GOOD spice. also love sjm but already read it lol. besides that pleaseee flood me with ur top recs!
Some examples of what i like story/writing style wise: Song of Achilles, Harry Potter, GOT, Manacled (fanfic). Love classic/victorian romance, fantasy & scifi, mythology, heists, vampires, fae, etc. Some Fifty Shades/ Mafia-ish stuff. i love an obsessed man & morally grey characters On my āto readā list rn i have: Six of Crows, Blood and Ash, Once Upon a Broken Heart, Captive Prince, or the Picture of Dorian Grayā any thoughts if youāve read them?
what i DONT likeā when one partner is actually shitty to the other, corny writing, & the trope where the female lead has to be not feminineā at all to be ābadassāš
lol thank you in advance for all the great recs!! š¤
