Anyone else get the ick when authors use AI art to promote their books?

Post Body

Genuinely curious how y’all feel about this. Personally, it turns me off from an authors work. Especially when there’s thousands of amazing artists they could pay or collaborate with.

I feel like it’s more acceptable for fans to share AI art, after all they are not making money off of the books, so I feel like it can contribute to a fandom at certain times, although I’d prefer human creativity to AI art any day.

I don’t know. Obviously I have mixed feelings. What do y’all think?
