Oh my goodness I LOVED it! It's a slow burn but the lead up to the romance is so good and full of character building so it makes the romance even better when you finally get there. The MCs are mature and likeable and relatable (late 20's but I found it easy to imagine them older). The world building is good but not overwhelming. It manages to be cosy despite the setting. It was a 5/5 for me.
I listened to the audiobook by the way. The narrator seemed a bit monotone at first but I ended up really liking her and the voices she chose for the characters. I could totally see myself re-reading this in paper format though. That's how much I liked it.
I am excited/nervous for book 2. Is it as good?
