So I run a 14 team league. Our draft order is randomly assigned which of course can give quite a bit of an advantage to the early picks. Someone in my league suggested the following to even out the randomness of an arbitrarily awarded early/late pick:
It's a little tough to explain, but I'll do my best.
Rounds one and two run as normal, going teams 1-14, then 14-1. At the start of the third round however, the order is reversed. So instead of starting with team 1 again, it would go 14-1 and then back 1-14. Essentially, the team with the last pick would get their third player before the team with the 1st pick. The order is reversed every two rounds until the draft is finished.
If anyone has any input, I'd love to hear it. I'm leaning towards using this method, but if there are holes in my plan, point them out!
