What trade did you make that took you out of contention?
Post Body

We’re getting to that time of the year where teams on the cusp will be willing to make trades to buy wins, and teams that appear to be locks are making trades to have playoff advantages. I’m tired of hearing about miraculous comebacks late in the season. Tell me about a trade you made to give you the perfect playoff team that backfired and knocked you out completely.

edit: loving reading these awful decisions everyone made, but I’m specifically asking about previous years. I’m trying to convince myself that not trading right now when I look locked for the playoffs isn’t the cowards way out!
