Hey hey everyone! It's me, the all-seeing eye of fantasy sports, your very own Miss Cleo. Long time no post.
Got busy with life and couldn't get posts out on a weekly basis, but I've since put up a blog to centralize all my content. Right now I'm putting up a series of Super Bowl 53 posts to share the power of the universe directly with you!
Link: astralprojections.io
We'll be covering the NFL Draft, preseason analysis, and more as next season approaches. In the meantime, some friends and I will be covering other topics like the Oscars, NBA Playoffs, Women's World Cup, and the people announcing their US Presidential runs. We'll also be expanding out to Astrology for all you star heads out there (please slide into your fav players' DMs and send me their exact birth times). We'll be putting all our spreadsheets up on Github if anyone feels like playing around with the data.
Here are the coach readings for Super Bowl 53 <3:
As always, notes:
- I currently use Golden Thread Tarot to save time and better record each read. Some reads in the future might be done with a physical deck.
- Each player has a single tarot card drawn to inform the question "How will [player name] perform in the Super Bowl?"
- Each card cell links to a description in Labyrinthos. They are the same descriptions/card illustrations as those in the Golden Thread app and help explain my comments on the card visuals.
- I'm not experienced in Tarot readings prior to this NFL season at all.
Sean McVay - LA Rams Head Coach
Card Drawn: The Empress - Reversed
Keywords: Dependence, smothering, emptiness
Interpretation: This isn’t a good draw for McVay, but it doesn’t signify outright defeat. Somehow he has been taken out of his element, it could be the size of the game or simply putting too much pressure on himself. Sean needs to focus on himself and find a way to clear his mind.
The scariest thing here is predictability. With his creative juices stalled and his mind busy he’s telegraphing his plays. That means the Pats’ staff will have the ability to counter. The Empress in the reversed position also plays on personal smothering. Combining single-minded play calling with an over-controlling nature of players and he might just continue on with strategies that aren’t working.
Hot Take: McVay has an overall average game. He’s got the first-time jitters and is going to play into the Pats’ strengths at times. Halftime is going to be critical. If McVay can meditate and chill out after a tough first half then they have a shot. A win for the Rams won’t be thanks to a complex game-plan from the HC himself.
Bill Belichick - New England Patriots Head Coach
Card Drawn: Judgement (Reversed)
Keywords: Lack of self-awareness, doubt, self-loathing
Interpretation: Lack of vision is core to this card and while that sounds overwhelmingly negative, it doesn’t suggest certain doom for the Patriots. Rather, this is a turning point for the team and if they want to succeed, they will need to roll-out risky plays and have them pay off. Don’t be surprised if Belichick plays conservatively and pays for it by allowing the Rams to stay in the game.
Hot Take: A win will be decided by a trick play, a classic final huge drive, and/or we see over time.Â
