Hey /r/fantasyfootball,
There are several ways that Yahoo Fantasy Football can improve. Fortunately, us Yahoo users can vote on important issues/suggestions aimed at improving their fantasy football platform.
An example of a piece of feedback that I gave three votes to was Yahoo's platform allowing for 2 or more matchups per week. I voted for this change, because I use a two-matchup per week format for each of the two leagues that I commish. Briefly, this is a format of standings where each team has a weekly head-to-head matchup, and a weekly matchup against the league based on how many points they put up. So, if a manager wins their H2H matchup, they get a win, and if they score within the top half of the league's teams in a certain week, then they get another win for that week. For losses, managers would have to lose their H2H matchup and/or score within the bottom half of the league's teams in a given week. Right now, I have to manually keep track of everyone's records, points, and rankings every week in a separate spreadsheet, which is a lot of work. It takes about 30-40 minutes each week to do this for both of my leagues. Also, since we use don't use Yahoo's standings (they are only based on H2H records), I have to keep a track of matchups for the playoffs in a separate spreadsheet, too. Interestingly (I just found out about this today), we can vote for Yahoo to come up with solutions to integrate these features into their platform, so commissioners don't have to do extra work every week keeping track of standings and playoff matchups.
Lastly, there are other important ways that Yahoo can improve their platform, and I am including links to those below.
